Berning Acres Events

• Farm Camp for ages 7-13
  • About:
    • This camp is all hands-on and interactive learning, we keep the kids moooving and learning!
    • Campers will  have a few morning chores to attend to like feeding the animals or collecting the eggs from the chicken coop.
    • There will be structured time each day to interact with and learn about the animals on the farm including the cows, calves, goats, sheep and and farm dogs, Lacey & Hazel.
    • We will also have an organized activity each day such as: making ice cream or butter from scratch,  outdoor games and races, scavenger hunts and seek n finds and team building activities.  
    • Pony Rides & Hay Ride to boot!!!
  • Dates:
    • June 7 & 8 (Thursday & Friday): 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. waitlist only
    • June 10 & 12 (Monday & Wednesday): 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    • June 11 & 13 (Tuesday & Thursday): 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    • June 17 & 19 (Monday & Wednesday): 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    • June 18 & 20 (Tuesday & Thursday): 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    • June 24 & 25 (Monday & Tuesday) 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

• June 5, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM: Farm VET for A Day for ages 13-18
  • About:
    • We are teaming up with our veterinarians to offer Gen Z kids a one-of-a-kind farm bet experierience for a day.  Participants will learn and utilize animal handling basics. They will also interact with hands-on learning covering topics such as basic anatomy and physiology of farm animals, common farm animal diseases and hot to recognize symptoms, first-aid care, nutrition and feeding, and preventative measure to keep animals healthy and well cared for.  Plus, perform real-life field demonstrations on farm animals.

• DAY at the Farm: A family-friendly VIP event for ALL AGES
  • Picnic & Play
    • Dates:
      • Saturday, June 15th at 11 a.m – 1 p.m.
      • Saturday, July 13th at 11 a.m – 1 p.m.
      • Saturday, August 31 (Labor Day weekend) at 11 a.m – 1 p.m.
    • About:
      • We will begin with a beautiful picnic in the lawn overlooking our fields and horses playing. No worries about packing a cooler or picnic, we got you covered.  We will offer a variety of kids & adult beverages. 
      • Then, we’ll head out and about to tour the farm and interact with the animals. So many new opportunities or experiences to be had — milk a cow, give a calf her bottle, help with farm chores or get cuddly with one of our farm friends (goat, sheep, pig, pony or, maybe a duck). Lots of opportunities for photo ops along the way, and playtime with the goats and other animals if you’d like!  Plus, we’ll have Gunner saddled up for PONY RIDES (Gunner handles up to 100 lb.)
      • Finally, we’ll wrap it up back in the shop with ICE CREAM! Choose to enjoy some good conversation in the shop or maybe a little more playtime with the animals. The Berning kids will be happy to lead your little ones back to Little Kingdom for some more interactions with our farm friends.
  • Cows, Kids, & Curds
    • Dates:
      • Friday, June 14th at 3 – 5 p.m.
      • Friday, July 12th at 3 – 5 p.m.
      • Saturday, September 7 (Labor Day weekend) at 3 – 5 p.m.
    • About:
      • We will begin in the Shop with beverages (kid and adult friendly) & cheese curds while we give you some farm history & background. 
      • Then, we’ll head out and about to tour the farm and interact with the animals. So many new opportunities or experiences to be had — milk a cow, give a calf her bottle, help with farm chores or get cuddly with one of our farm friends (goat, sheep, pig, pony or, maybe a duck). Lots of opportunities for photo ops along the way, and playtime with the goats and other animals if you’d like!
      • Finally, we’ll wrap it up back in the shop if you choose, sampling a variety of locally-sourced cheeses curds. Oh, and for this event, ICE CREAM too! Choose to enjoy some good conversation & curds in the shop or maybe a little more playtime with the animals. The Berning kids will be happy to lead your little ones back to Little Kingdom for some more interactions with our farm friends.  Or, maybe they want to saddle up on Gunner for a PONY RIDE!! (Gunner handles up to 100 lb.)
  • NIGHT at the FARM: a VIP event for ADULTS!
    • Dates:
      • Friday, June 14th at 7 – 9 p.m.
      • Friday, July 12th at 7 – 9 p.m.
      • Friday, September 6 at 6 – 8 p.m.
    • About:
      • We will begin in the Shop with beverages (featuring Spotted Cow) and our farm intro!
      • Then, we’ll head out and about to tour the farm and interact with the animals. So many new opportunities or experiences to be had — milk a cow, give a calf her bottle, help with farm chores or get cuddly with one of our farm friends (goat, sheep, pig, pony or, maybe a duck). Lots of opportunities for photo ops along the way, and playtime with the goats and other animals if you’d like!
      • Finally, we’ll wrap it up back in the shop if you choose, sampling a variety of locally-sourced cheeses curds.  Choose to enjoy some good conversation & more beverages.  Questions before, on tour and during our Shop time are encouraged!
  • Cows, Wine & Charcuterie: a VIP event for ADULTS!
    • Dates:
      • Saturday, June 15th at 7 – 9 p.m.
      • Saturday, July 13th at 7 – 9 p.m.
      • Saturday, September 7 at 6 – 8 p.m.
    • About: You’ll get the same amazing VIP treatment as listed above for our other VIP event, and of course we’ll feature complimentary individual charcuterie trays and wine.
